Victoria Muindi, Research Associate Intern
Victoria’s areas of research and client engagement at the Chamber included conducting extensive research on U.S. Government departments and agencies responsible for international trade development and promotion facing Sub-Saharan Africa. She worked with noted Kenyan fashion designers as they developed first contacts in their effort to gain market entry into the Unites States market and she liaised with the U.S. Department of Justice on key programs facing Kenya. Victoria is a second year graduate student at American University where she is pursuing a Juris Doctor in International Criminal Law and a Master of Arts degree in International Economic Relations. She holds a Bachelors degree in International Relations and French from Oral Roberts University. She is a citizen of Kenya. Victoria says "The Chamber is the best company I have ever worked for ... I have changed in my experience and how my business character has developed. I was mentored in business and in life.

The primary responsibilities of the Administrative Intern position include assisting with program and project management, office administrative functions such as organizing and scheduling meetings that may involve multiple participants in different locations, event planning, fielding website inquiries, answering telephones, creating and maintaining files, processing expense invoices and sorting/distributing incoming mail. The selected candidate will proofread documents and compose routine business correspondence. The Candidate must have the ability to be proactive or anticipate upcoming needs and complete other duties as assigned. A Bachelors degree is preferred. Marketing Communications Associate (Intern) Provide marketing, communications, research and administrative support to Sub-Saharan Africa Chamber of Commerce programs including support to the Executive Chairman of the Board and staff. Work collaboratively with SSACC staff and associates from other programs to strengthen relationships, promote participation and deliver a unified message to Chamber members, prospects and the business community at large.
